Additional VIC Business Support

With Metropolitan Melbourne now in an extended lockdown, and safety nets such as JobKeeper no longer available, the Victorian government has added a further $209.3m on top of the existing $250.7m Circuit Breaker Business Support Package, in the hope that it will provide a necessary lifeline to so many affected businesses that are struggling to stay afloat.
 

These include:

The Licensed Hospitality Venue Fund

Providing $3,500 venue grants for hospitality businesses holding an eligible liquor license and food certificate impacted for one week and $7,000 for eligible businesses impacted for two.

  • Applications open from today, Thursday, June 3, and will remain open for applications for three weeks.

The Business Costs Assistance Program (Round 2)

Offering grants worth $2,500, to businesses that have not been able to operate under the state’s lockdown conditions nor work remotely for one week and  $5,000 to those restricted to the two weeks of this lockdown period. Eligible businesses must have payrolls less than $10 million and be included within the sectors most impacted.

  • Applications open from today, Thursday, June 3, and will remain open for applications for three weeks.

Victorian Events Support Package

Dedicated to supporting operators in the events industry who have incurred losses due to the circuit-breaker restrictions with further information soon to be released.
